This is a 1994 Gibson Les Paul Custom, (Gibson's Centennial year) that is Ebony (Black) with Gold Hardware. Just saying it is a "GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM", really says enough about the quality! This guitar is for someone who really can appreciate a really super sounding guitar. Not only does it sound great but it is a great playing guitar. It is in great condition. All original, had it checked at Music store and was told it sounded great and no additional setup could improve this fine sounding guitar. Quality guitars only improve sound with age, but I could not not imagine this guitar ever having a better sound. The original owner took really great care of this guitar. It has none of the usual belt buckle scratches on back, nicks, and the gold hardware looks great. Would be very hard to find a 1994 Gibson Les Paul Custom in this condition. In 1994, Gibson's Centennial year, some instruments have a serial number that begins with "94" for the year, with the remaining 6 digits indicating the DDD, PPP. The serial on this fine guitar is 94DDDPPP, which would only add the the value in the future. Phoned Gibson and they confirmed the serial and it is a Gibson Les Paul Custom, black with gold hardware.
