Early Oahu Tube Amplifier (Pre Valco era). This is the type of amp early electric guitar players like Charlie Christian would have used. Cool leather handle ... single speaker ... a single on/off volume switch. Will need a little work - speaker reconing, pots cleaned, possibly even new tubes or capaciters, etc. It lights up and does produce some sound now though the cone is practically gone. I know ... it's rough ... needs restoration ... but the grille is in awesome shape and the price is firm because I think it's worth it. Label on the speaker reads: The Rola Company / ELECTRO DYNAMIC REPRODUCER / Model 88 / OHMS / Cleveland, Ohio The speaker is date stamped November 3 1938 and there is a hand written note on the outer edge stating 29 MFG. I could possibly have been made that early? Here you will see one attributed to 1941 ... http://thejaffes.org/rory/oahu/index.php $100 firm. e-mail with any questions. Thanks!
