I have my Marshall 1960 AV Cabinet. The backplate says "BV" however this is a mistake made in the factory because it is an angled Cab which is "AV." I bought this new from GuitarCzar. The speakers are the stock Vintage 30's and this cabinet sells new for $949.00 online. I have modified the ohms and stereo feature. This cabinet is wired to run at 4 ohms only and the stereo component has been disable by me because I had no use for it. Before I used this cab in the studio, I went through and reinforced all the screws holding the speaker to ensure that there would be no extra noise. This cabinet has been gigged with and shows. There are various rips in the tolex, however the speakers and cab sound as good as new. Email me if interested. Thanks Here is the info online about these cabs: Legendary Marshall Muscle! Nothing personifies the image of rock 'n' roll more completely than a wall of Marshall stacks. Though often imitated, nothing compares to the original. The 1960AV is the straight version that features 4 Marshall/Celestion Vintage speakers and is the perfect addition to your stage or recording rig! It's ideal for players who appreciate a lot of low end, without all the boomyness. Marshall 1960AV at a Glance: Incredibly flexible 4x12 straight cab Low End That Never Gets Boomy Slightly brighter sound than a straight cab Sonically speaking, nothing compares to a Marshall amp Rugged and ready for the road The Ultimate in Flexibility To ensure the ultimate in flexibility, the 1960A (angled) and the 1960AV (straight), is switchable between Mono (4 or 16 Ohms) and Stereo (8 Ohms per side). The two Mono impedance options provide extra amp matching capability while the cabinets' stereo capability makes them ideal for rack systems which typically run in stereo. Low End That Never Gets Boomy This has a thicker, warmer sound than the 1960A with a fat, well-defined midrange and a rounded high end that sparkles nicely while not being overly bright. It also has a good low end "chunk" which never gets "boomy." Angled Cabinet History and Sound A (Angled) cabinets came about because Jim Marshall felt a head on a straight front cab just didn't look "designed." The sides and baffle of the cabinet feature an angled cut. This has both a cosmetic impact and a sonic one since the top two 12" speakers angle slightly upwards. It has more sonic "spread" or dispersion and is a little brighter-sounding than a straight cabinet. Sonically Superior The only choice for serious musicians. Nothing compares to Marshall cabinets in terms of awesome tone and projection. Both visually and aurally, Marshall 4x12 cabs are indeed rock and roll history in a stack! Ready For Your Gig - Wherever That Might Be! Weighing in at around 80 lbs, the JCM1960AV is made of 15mm birch plywood (except for the back panel, which is medium density fiberboard) and built for tone, projection, and durability. The majority of cabinet construction is done by hand. Marshall 1960AV Features: 300W 4x12 straight 4/16 ohm, mono; 8ohm stereo.
