Looking for a temporary roommate to join us starting June 1st! Awesome room- large and recently remodeled w/ a vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan, big front window that gets great morning light, nice wood floors, and 2 big closets (1 walk in). House built in 1911 & is clean, comfortable and spacious (3000 sq. ft). Lots of character, with wood floors throughout, good light & many plants, a fireplace, and great outdoor areas- including a huge backyard with multiple decks, hot tub, firepit, grill, a food garden in the makings and a sweet front porch. Large basement with a good amount of storage (and ping pong!) and a big, heated garage with a full wood-shop. Washer & dryer, wireless internet etc. Neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Right around the corner from Farragut Park, walking distance to the Max and Fred Meyer and a quick bike ride away from New Season's, Peninsula Park, Mississippi, PCC Cascade, and NE bars etc. We're both in our late 20's Nathan is a carpenter & contractor and Sarah is a career trainer at an alternative school & is in grad school (busy as hell). We've been in Portland awhile (5 & 7 years) and love it. We like getting out of town for hiking, camping, canoeing, motorcycling; but also really like being in town with friends, biking around, checking out new bars and restaurants, reading... We both love to cook and are into eating wholesome, real food. We eat meat- but don't care what you do or do not eat. We host occasional dinner and brunch parties, BBQs etc. We are looking for someone fun and funny, clean and thoughtful, happy and active, responsible, and who's close in age to us.
