Hello, Much like theatrical playbills programs have been used at concerts since the 1900's. With information on bands and their members, it gives the concertgoer a chance to get to know the musicians they have paid money to see. The concert program I have for sale is from March 19/20, 1971. Artist is David Byrd. Size is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Price is $280.00. I am the original owner who attended the show and have had this program in my possession since then. It is in excellent condition without any discoloration or yellowing. There is a tiny tack hole in the upper right hand corner that goes through all the pages. Very minor though. The performers on both nights were: -Cactus (headliner; the band featured former members of the NYC based band Vanilla Fudge: Carmine Appice on drums and Tim Bogart on bass) -Humble Pie (second on the bill; featuring the late Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton. These perfromances were recorded and released on A&M Records as Performance: Rockin' The Fillmore.) -Dada (opening band; a British band featuring the late Robert Palmer on vocals. Yes, the Addicted To Love Robert Palmer!) The program includes some ads for NYC radio stations, upcoming shows at the Fillmore East (amazing lineups!) and a be-in in Central Park.
