The Brakelight consists of a Receiver and a Transmitter.The function of the Receiver which mounts onto most helmets is the same as the elevated 3rd brakelight on modern cars and trucks. The signal of braking is moved up to the eye level of the drivers behind the motorcycle. The Wireless Brakelight system uses a High Intensity tail/brakelight which contains a Transmitter that sends the signal to the Receiver. Each Transmitter sends a unique signal so that your brakelight will only be activated by your Transmitter. This 12 LED Transmitter replaces the standard tail/brakelight bulb. The Transmitter is available to fit most modern motorcycles using either a standard 1157 or 3157 bulb. A Wired-in Transmitter is also available for use on motorcycles which do not use one of these two standard bulbs.
