I built this workbench out of 2x4s and extra engineered "hardwood" flooring because I had it laying around and I couldn't afford to buy a real motorcycle lift. I used it with a motorcycle ramp and it worked great. Gets a bike about 20" off the ground so you don't have to break your back bending over or laying on the ground for everything you need to do on your bike. Includes "shelves" connected to the legs so you can put sandbags or whatever down there (I used buckets of sandblast abrasive) to keep it from being too top-heavy when you have a bike on top. In the months that I've used it I've never once felt that it was unstable, even with a big, heavy bike on top. I assembled it with wood glue, 2.5" 16 gauge nails, and pipe clamps to hold it all together while the glue dried. The 2x4s (you know, the ones they use to make homes) will come apart before the joints separate. It's about 8' long, so you'll want a full size truck to take it home. I can deliver in a Suburban for about $20 in lower Davis County, negotiable elsewhere. First $50 gets it.
