The best little planer made, beats powermatic and delta as far as I am concerned. Can plane down to 1/16" and as short as 8" un-butted. My grandfather bought this new, I bought from him in 1981. Restored-blasted, new paint, socket head cap screws in place of bolts in the mid 1980's. Went through a fire in 2009. Too many machines to clean them all, I am selling about 100 to keep about 50, I am not a dealer but a collector and user. I am a 1-man shop. Peerless 2 hp horsepower 1 ph phase 220 volt motor, standard lovejoy coupling direct drive, no belts, oil bath gear box is chain feed, not belts, factory welded base. Solid serated feed rollers in steel, not rubber like william and hussey or belsaws, these are not segmented, this is a finishing planer, not a roughing planer. An exterior type unit about 5 hp horsepower 3 ph phase in size, no motor tag. I bought from a prison in central Illinois in 2004 or 2005, ran a small shop with about 10 machines, nice in that the air can be returned into a building after the large stuff is seperated into the 55 gallon drums, then through two pleated filter typr bag houses, and then ducted into the shop. I can load within the next 60 days with a lift I have borrowed, not heavy, just large. Structure is 56"x34"x136" pluss all the motors and controls hanging off that. Antique joiner jointer I have used since the mid 1980's, was fully restored before water damage from being in a building that partially burned. Fully operational, just needs to be re-cleaned. Bearings are great-babbit, 2 knife cutter head, I have run untold thousands of linear feet across this machine, no vibrations, always cool head, use straight Lucas on the bearings, knives replaced and sharpened as needed. Guard has a 1905 date, machine is from 1895 to 1920 vintage, 8' long beds. The fence can be skewed to cutter head for curly maple type edging. Very easy to switch between straight line joining and glue edge joining. Have a 2 or 3 hp triple belt drive motor mounted to the floor-when I got this in Iowa it was running off an overhead line shaft-east to put back to other power source for Amish users. I had a single listing of some 20+ lines of many brands of tools I am selling. Anyone searching for any of the brands listed pulled up my ad. People requested I seperate the ads, they are free, take up negligable space, and will now direct a searcher to only the brand listed in each seperate ad. I welcome anyone to come see my home shop, just because I have almost 200 machines does not make me a business, but, rather a collector. Is someone with 200 ball cards suddenly selling off half make them a business? No. I just happened to collect tools for the past 30 years instead of other things.
