Remote Control, RC, Lot - 3 Airplanes, 4 Engines and More! - $100 (Highlands)
Remote Control, RC, Lot - 3 Airplanes, 4 Engines and More! - $100 (Highlands) Highlands
Various Vintage RC Aircraft Equipment/Supplies and 3 Airplanes My name is Garth. I was a non active member of the RCRC for several years, several years ago. I have moved out of state and need to clear these items out of my parents basement. I have three airplanes in various states of completion (non ready to fly), an old field box and some other parts, pieces and bits. I am asking $100.00 for everything! A bargain to the right home. Here’s a rough overview and pictures for your consideration:There is a GreatPlanes Trainer .60 which was in the process of being built and is in very good condition for completion. The construction so far is solid and straight. It has a wingspan of 66” and the fuselage of 48”. I have the GreatPlanes assembly book and full size roll out plans for this plane. The next plane is unknown to me as to what it is. It came to me through an older friend of mine who had been out of the RC world for some time. I am guessing this plane is vintage 1960’s – it used to fly and is not in too bad of shape. It has a wingspan of 51” and the fuselage of 44”. This plane has three Futaba servos installed. The mounted engine is an old Max-H OS 40.The last plane is a TwinStar. This plane probably is not worth much more than stripping off the engines. I was sold this plane off ebay about six years ago and the listing was totally misleading. It has been wrecked and put back together terribly. I’d say it’s trash unless you really wanted to do some work. It has a wingspan of 56” and the fuselage of 48”. The mounted engines are a pair of GP 42’s and there are also two Tower Hobbies System 3000 servos installed. There are at least 8-10 brand new wooden props, lots of hinges, rod tubing, this and that… The field box is also from the 60’s (I’m guessing) and is kinda funky. These have been stored in a smoke free and dry place for a many years. The lot is located in Highlands near Willow and Cherokee Road. If interested please call me, Garth at (502) 500-9700. Please bring cash for the sale. Thank you.
