EAD Engineering is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team in Omaha, NE. Applicants must have experience with heavy industrial projects. Relocation assistance is available. Position Duties________________________________________________________________________________ 1. Execution of design projects with cross-functional team leaders and individuals to meet client requirements for design quality, cost, and achievement of technical objectives. 2. Analyze specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bidding electrical engineering projects. 3. Provide studies of power quality, capacity, short circuit, coordination, and professional engineering approval of work. 4. Specify and approve power distribution equipment and process instrumentation. 5. Responsible for quality and delivery of construction documentation, specifications, schematics, and P&IDs. 6. Maintain, develop, and cultivate professional relationships to gain project opportunities with owners, engineers and architects. Includes growth and retention of current clients. Actively involved in technical societies and related local organizations. 7. Lead a team of electrical engineers, team/talent development, skill set improvement and mentoring. 8. Interface with clients, utility companies, construction administrators, contractors, and vendors. 9. Coordinate and maintain quality assurance, minimizing and eliminating risks. Ensuring all EAD safety policies and procedures are followed. Position Requirements_________________________________________________________________________ B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering with Professional Licensure preferred 8-12 years experience in electrical design of industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems with decisions on how to handle Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify conclusions or approaches to problems Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and building codes Ability to lead projects and people Ability to develop business opportunities Ability to travel as required Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and in-house staff Experience with MS Windows based operation systems and applications Location: Omaha, NE Compensation: DOEPrincipals only.
