This is a fully serviced & guaranteed, smooth running, powerful Brother, Model Charger 666 sewing machine, cabinet, and padded bench SET. First, the Machine. It's an older, very well maintained, basically like new, Brother brand sewing machine. I'm a retired engineer who repairs & restores sewing machines as a hobby, and this is one that will last at least one lifetime, and probably never even need a thing. I've had it open, fully inspected it, tuned it as needed, lubricated, and tested it, and it is a keeper. In fact, even the drive belt on this machine looks brand new. I can certify that this machine has absolutely NO PLASTIC GEARS, but does have the heavy, machined steel counter balanced drive components, steel handwheel/fly wheel, and the huge, 1.3 amp motor. To grasp the handwheel & turn it immediately tells you just how well built, well maintained, and smooth running this machine is. None of the clanking, and grinding noises you hear on all of the newer, plastic machines.

I am offering a beautiful, and rare, original acrylic on canvas painting by the famous Oklahoma artist, Eugene "Gene" Bavinger. Mr. Bavinger was born in Sapulpa, OK in 1919 and died in 1997. Bavinger's works can be found in many museums and prominent private collections, including The Oklahoma City Museum of Art. This painting was purchased by my grandfather directly from the artist and it has been in my family ever since. The painting measures approximately 41" x 29" and is signed and dated 1980, along with the artist's inventory number on the stretcher. It is also in its original frame. This modern / abstract work has a strong surrealist feel to it. I have seem many images of the artist's work over the years and this is one of the most beautiful I've seen. I'm a retired refinery engineer, who happens to repair, restore, and resell high quality, older sewing machines as a hobby. This particular one is an older Kenmore. It's all steel (gears, shafts, linkages) with an old style, cast metal housing. This bears no resemblance at all to the new, plastic, cheaply built models, which is why it's about 40 years old, and still running great.. Feature wise, it has fully adjustable stitch length & width, reverse, adjustable presser foot tension, and a built in blind hem stitch. if you never seen one of these, they are cool...... Each glass ball is calibrated with a certain amount of liquid which causes it to either sink or float, depending on the temperature.
