My family is in need of fans. Our house was 102 degrees today and it is supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Our 5 year old son gets heat related nose bleeds and they are difficult to stop. His body cannot tolerate the extreme heat. Our air conditioner is broken and we do not have the money to have someone come look at it. At this point we have no money to pay for anything. I just went back to work after being laid off since February and we are playing catch up with all of our bills. If anyone can help we would GREATLY appreciate it. I am moving out of my apartment a month early and my roommate desperately needs someone to help cover the rent for the month of July before we both move out of state. We are looking for a third person to fill a three bedroom condo for the upcoming school year. My parents own the condo and I basically manage it. Plus, they only live 30 minutes away so if any problems arise, they can be right there. The condo is near campus, on KUs bus route, and has its own parking lot. There is already a male (KU sophomore) and a female (KU junior) already occupying the condo, so the third roommate would get their own room and must share a bathroom with a male. There is a full kitchen, a small dining room, and a living room in the unit. The condo itself is fully furnished with all electrical appliances already provided (including washer and dryer). The only thing you would need to furnish is your own room. Rent will be $400 per month TOTAL. Thats it. Bills are covered in the $400 rent. The only thing that you would have to pay extra for is if you specifically add something like a cable box in your room. The two of us that live there are both very serious about school. We do not drink or smoke so we never go to parties. We are more like grad students than normal undergrads. I am trying to sublease my townhouse (tri-plex). The lease would run from August 1st (or before if needed) thru July 31st 2010. I have a flexible move out date (could be out with at least a 2-week notice), so if you needed it before or after August 1st I can work something out. The apartment is two stories. There is a LARGE living room with vaulted ceilings. The kichen has great storage and a dishwasher. There is a laundry room off the kitchen with W/D hookups. There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom is pretty big and has a walkin closet. The second BR is decent size with a regular closet. There is one bathroom which is upstairs. This is a quiet location (2811 # B Ridge Court) and is on a dead end street. I have lived here for 2 years and have had no problems. New ownership occured in April and since then they have replaced the heater, roof and have repainted the outside. The new owner, Peng Management (Lucy White) are great. Rent is due the 5th of each month. The deposit would be a full months rent ($600). I do not believe there are any applciation fees, but if there are, I will cover it. Pets are welcome!! Im not sure of the restrictions if there are any, but cats and dogs are welcome with a pet deposit. Please let me know if you are interested. You are welcome to schedule a time to come look at it.
