This car is in pretty fair condition for its age. Its a 1953 Chevy Bel Air 4 door sedan and has 66960 original miles on it. It starts and runs great! It has some surface rust. It also has one dent in front of the right rear tire. The chrome panel that goes there is not hurt and is in the trunk. It has two hub caps missing and someone stole the horn ring. I have a 1986 Ford F-150 Lariat XLT 4x4 Long Bed that needs a new home. I already have enough vehicles and just bought a new truck and as much as I would love to keep it I cant justify putting tags and insurance on I vehicle that I barely get to drive. The Engine is a 351 Cleveland and was rebuilt 12,000 miles ago and originally had 176,000 miles on it and if you request I can give you all the receipts from the rebuild! The truck runs like a champ and I would drive it across the country without any worries. It has power windows, power locks, am/fm-tape player with dash mounted clock. It is not a bench front seat it is dual captain chairs with double arm rests and a console in the center with a rear bench seat and sliding glass rear window. It has the receiver in the back for towing ( I have never towed with it) and a large tool box in the bed that I will throw in to sweeten the deal. I put tires on it not too long ago so there is still feet on the tires and the rims are not factory but I have all four in the bed that came on the truck you can have. I didnt take pictures of the inside cause it was getting dark but it is nice no tears in the seats or rotted out floors. All the lights work and nothing needs to be done that I am aware of. This vehicle has been in my posession for over 8 years now.....I spent alot of money and time on this car before being stationed in Europe and then deploying over the last 6 years....I have $12k invested and lots of extra parts to go with it to the lucky buyer (extra set of heads, carb, etc.) I have done the following to it and if you have a possible trade, then send me pics of your possible trade with specifics about it....if its worth less go ahead and assume I will want cash to accompany your trade. NEWER STUFF with hardly 5k miles: 350c.i. 4-bolt block bored .060 over, line honed, decks trued and then 2:02 1:60 race heads (78cc)with roller tip rockers were installed, titanium push rods, 383 stroker kit, hyper-eutectic Keith Black pistons, SCAT crank, cam has about .500 lift at 298 duration, and a professionally reworked block all for about $6k..fiberglass SS Hood painted to match, K&N Air filter plus K&N Extreme lid, also went to a new pwr brakes system with a full line replacement front and back, discs up front and drums in the rear, very nice 2in. spindle drop up front, 17x8 amer. racing trq thrust 2s all around(need polishing), with mostly new rubber as well (NITTO Nitros), newer exhaust with turn downs at back axle that give any real man a woody( 40 series flowmasters sound MEAN), new radiator(3 row), new battery(red top optima), new elect. fan, newer polygraphite bushings all around(with extras still awaiting installation), new sway bars, newer intake(Edelbrock air gap), newer carb(750 dual line Holley), new carpet, new headliner, new Mahogany steering wheel, newer water pump, new alternator, new starter, new suspension pieces, completely new fuel system ready for install(16 GAL race cell w/sump, elec. fuel pump(installed already), block off, lines, cell foam, cell hold downs, etc.), new fiberglass hood springs all this just to name the most important things. PROS: Very rare gauge cluster with NO dummy lights...all stock gauges normally found in a SS to include an operational stock tachometer (very very very nice option in the late 60s - research it!), seats are in excellent condition, bench seat up front but if you have buckets I have a black center console for a horseshoe shifter to throw in the deal as well! Most of interior is good to go, dash has NOT been hacked up, very nice potential and can cruise and look good (10 footer paint job) now as is...runs like a champ....cant stop without someone complimenting it...all glass is in good condition..cant say enough about it being a great daily driver car with lots of potential as an even nicer show/go classic....oh yea the heater works great too...email for more info. This car has LOTS of potential....I am not gonna lie...it DOES have a few cons too....here they are: Paint is a 10 footer job(inside 10 ft the flaws come to light) it needs redone in my eyes, maybe some wetsanding can take care of some or most of the flaws, body has a little cancer in numerous locations - but this does not hinder the road worthiness of this car - mere cosmetics stuff here guys! The dash pad needs replacement, the trunk pan needs replacement, NO A/C car....never was equipped with it anyway so smoothing the firewall will be easy for the next guy even after installing aftermarket A/C, windshield wipers work but wont hideaway because I think they are a few teeth off on the gear, the headers were ceramic coated inside and out but have started to show surface rust due to being in a garage in Florida for 6 years(salt water in the air), the door panels inside show wear on edges but look good overall....just not interested in messing with it anymore but certainly not going to give it away.....just email me and ask any questions...
