These pipes are slip-ons, so they are easy to put on, and will not require you to rejet your bike. Get rid of the stock pipes and make your bike sound like a real Harley Davidison. 2001 HONDA VFR 8,200 miles. very clean. This was the last model year before the switch to the VTEC engine (which many folks did not like). This is a great bike and has been one of the highest rated sports/tourers in the motorcycle press. This bike has never been wrecked but I did have a small spill on a recently oiled parking lot (see pictures of right side of bike for small scuffs). Bike is great fun to ride. Bike is fuel injected and has recent tires (Brigestone Battleaxe) and recent battery. It is garaged and never ridden hard. I purchased the Bandit in October of 2007 and have put only 6,500 miles on it. I have only ridden it 1,400 miles in the last year. Between the kids and cycling (bicycle), I no longer have the time to ride any more. The bike has less ~ 6,500 miles and has been well maintained. The bike is stock and hasnt been ridden hard and has never been wrecked. Most of the miles have been on trips out west. About the bike: Michelin Road Pilot Rear/Road Pilot 2 front were put on about 2,500 miles ago. I usually get ~ 10k out of these tires. GenMar Risers - Raise and pull back the handle bars about 1 1/2\" which takes the strain out of your neck. Throttlemiester Throttle Lock Modified Suzuki V-Strom Hand Guards - I modified these to fit the bike. Instead of buying $150 pazzos I just trimmed the stock ones down & used my metal sander to buff the ends clean then painted them black. Also, the rear tire had a very slow leak. I found it and put a plug in it because I didnt ride it much anyway. If thats a problem for you, you can use it as a haggling point on the price or I can replace it with a new tire and charge you that much more, which ever you prefer. While in my possession, this bike has had no incidents, no track days, no clutch-up wheelies, and.....basically its been pretty damn boring for this bike with my name on the title. Maybe you can change that.The only bad thing I know of about this bike is the finish on the exhaust piping. It had a weird brassy color to it when I bought it so I pulled the connecting pipes and the catless midpipe out, polished/scuffed them up, then used high temp black paint to paint them. It turned out fantastic and I was very happy with it but unfortunately the best paint I could find wasnt good enough & it has started to flake off. Not a big deal at all; I just wanted everyone to know.Im asking $6800 for it. Im throwning in the yamaha solo seat. I have put a considerable amount of maintenance into this bike and even put a new tire on 3 weeks ago, it needs absolutely nothing to reliably take you anywhere you want to aim it.
