The MiniAlpine dairy goat is a cross between a full size Alpine dairy goat doe and a Nigerian Dwarf buck. Which will produces a miniature (Mini) dairy goat which produces a quart to a gallon a day of milk. Their medium size makes the Mini Alpine the ideal milker for the small homestead or family. It is such a pleasure to have these little milkers in your yard and the milk is the best. The Nigerian Dwarf adds a higher butterfat and the Alpine adds to more milk in the pail. The first cross is the first generation. By breeding a 1st gen. to another 1st gen. you will get the 2nd generation and so on. The reason for breeding for the minis is they eat less. With the sire being the Nigerian the size of the kids at birth are smaller so the mom has an easier time of delivery. Kids will grow fast but stay smaller in height. I have 2 healthy bucklings born 5/10, very showy, one larger with dark alpine markings , smaller buckling lighter grey markings. Both have daily interaction with children and adults and are VERY friendly. Both disbudded, wormed , wethered and vacinated and come from registered parents on site.
