My mom KNOWS what she wants. She is 82, and below is a picture of a three table set (1 coffee table and 2 end tables) we missed on CL last week that sold for $100. Meanwhile, this is close to what she wants-drawer optional. About this color of wood, and must have the bottom \"shelf\" area for all her photographs. NO GLASS or METAL. So, I have driven her everywhere, and we know we can order these at a store right here in town new 3 piece set for $249-plus and additional 10% off. (the total would then be about $220) BUT....they have to be ordered....and 82 year olds arent the most patient :) SO....if anyone has something similiar to the photo below for sale and are asking in the $100 range, we could pick them up with cash in hand. I was just reading about a lady on here who has it very ruff!! She has a daughter who is very sick and has to have tubes putt inside of her to feed her. I cant remember what exactly the little girl has, but when i heard this ladys story made me want to cry so bad! Yet there are people who complain on here who think there life sux bad??? Hello. Were looking for a basketball goal for our family. A Goalrilla or Goaliath would be nice but similar ones would be considered. Permanent, mounted to concrete is what were looking for. We have a portable one and we are not happy with it--especially when it blew over during a recent storm and hit our Jeeps hood. Hello my friend! I hope this email finds you well! I have a very sincere request but I think it equally important to reveal to you exactly the nature of my request. I am man in my mid-50’s and ever since I was diagnosed with non-hodgekins lymphoma I’ve looked at life differently. I’ve decided to begin doing some things I’ve always wanted to do but was afraid. The first is going to college. I’m in my 2nd semester and while my dad says I’m going to be looking for a job when I’m 60 I said, “No Dad. I’m going to be looking for a job when I’m 60 with a degree!.Another thing I’ve become since being diagnosed was a much gentler person with everyone around me. We just don’t know what might be happening in the person’s life who just cut you off on the highway. The lady who just intentionally took your parking spot may have just lost someone she loved. Maybe it was just her best friend in the whole world!...her dog or cat. Either way, I’ve learned we need to just show our grace to each other. Period. Focus on the stuff that REALLY IS important and let the rest of the “stuff” evaporate into thin air.Now comes even BETTER news! I’m 3 years in remission now! Praise the Lord!! I’m single and the lady who is the love of my life, my very best friend and my sister in Christ has been part of the music ministry at several other churches in her life and now she’s moved here to be with me and lead the music ministry at OUR church! I love to hear her sing and play the violin and especially the guitar. It’s been one of my desires to learn to play. And now I find that she’s agreed to teach me! Once I become good enough we can play for our Father together!OK, OK!!! I’m getting to the point. I’m hoping that there might be someone who has an acoustic/electric guitar that is and has been just collecting dust in a forgotten closet or under the bed that they’d be willing to donate. I would be willing to pay shipping to my home in the state of Missouri. BUT, the really hard part about all of this is I’m left handed. Yep, I’m a southpaw. And so I KNOW this is a long shot but I’m learning in life to not be afraid anymore. The Father is in control is if this is His will then it He’ll work out all the details. I want to thank every single person who just read this regardless if you’re in a circumstance in your life to help or not. We helped 54 families with clothing, gifts, and food - all items donated by Craigslist readers! We had to utilize a church basement due to the overwhelming response and outpouring of gifts from the community.Now we are hosting a Community Baby Drive for moms in need in the Kansas City area. Think about a family expecting a baby who struggles to provide a home, utilities, groceries, and transportation for their family. Not just poor families in less expensive neighborhoods! There are so many families feeling economic hurt, even in more prosporous areas of town. There are families who were doing well, decided to have another child, and then lost income. One person cant help everyone, but lots of people together can help some. To some families, buying baby necessities is a burden but one need that cannot be ignored!
