Go ahead and Google this guitar to learn more about them. I've owned this one for 15 years after buying it new. It looks exactly like the Accousticasters that they still make today, which sell for about $1000. Here's a description that I lifted from a website selling the new guitars: "Acousticaster: Eighteen tuned metal tines mounted under the bridge help to create the unique sound of the Acousticaster. The rock maple neck is precisely matched with a two chamber mahogany body. The body is capped with a solid spruce top." One thing that the picture doesn't show is that the finish on the maple neck has worn off a bit near the tuners where your hand rests most of the time. This could probably be fixed. Also one of the original pegs on the bridge is missing and has been replaced by a wooden peg, but, again, this is probably something you could easily fix buy purchasing a new set of pegs.
