| RIO Products Intl, Inc is seeking a Production Supervisor.Based in Idaho Falls, we are fly fishing creative specialists in Fly Lines, Leaders and Tippet Materials.This position is responsible for manufacturing, quality control, and technical aspects of the production process; supervision of all production departments; analyzing production requirements, production scheduling, and work in process scheduling of production.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Manage and oversee production output in the Fly Line Production, Mixing, Coiling, and Welding Departments. Coordinate with department supervisors to resolve issues and plan for future requirements. Recruit, hire, train and retain assigned employees for a given area.Prepare performance appraisals as regularly scheduled for all staff in assigned area.Perform performance correction procedures as appropriate, and follow through with appropriate consequences up to and including termination procedures in consultation with Director of Operations and Human Resources.Evaluate fly line quality. Develop, maintain, and monitor testing procedures of fly lines to ensure compliance with required specifications. Assist employees to achieve quality standards and minimize scrap levels. Monitor and analyze scrap levels through production process in all departments. Provide technical support to minimize scrap. Develop and maintain tools to analyze scrap levels.Evaluate production process for improvements in materials, method of production, and reduction of scrap.Analyze requirements and schedule production of fly lines. Issue and receive manufacturing work orders for fly lines and plastisol batches. Monitor Work in Process fly lines through Coiling and Welding Departments. Expedite production as deemed necessary for business reasons.Develop, document, and maintain Operating Procedures.Assist Director of Research with product design and development of new products. Provide manufacturing support for the production of R & D fly lines and coatings.Perform other job related duties as required or directed. JOB REQUIREMENTS:Required skills include: initiative, organization and follow-up; analytical and problem solving ability; project management; oral and written communication; as well as production forecasting and data analysis. Understanding of labor laws and work safety regulations also necessary. Skills in the general understanding of the fly line manufacturing process and production equipment is preferred. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SPECIALIZED TRAINING REQUIRED: Four-year degree or equivalent experience required. Five to seven years of experience in manufacturing, forecasting, and planning. Travel to other locations to assist with the training of new staff, if requested by the Vice President or assistants. 4. Attend community functions that will increase IYR visibility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. Must have a valid Idaho drivers license (except for the Oregon Manager). 3. Driving record must be acceptable to the insurance company. 4. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. 5. Must be able to work with little supervision. 6.
