No other applications will be accepted.Position Summary:Working under the direction of the Senior Evaluation Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for evaluation services, including the evaluation of transfer and test credit, military credit, and graduation requirements. May coordinate and monitor all aspects of the certification process for Veteran Affairs and International students. The position will interact with students, faculty, staff, outside agencies and parents.Essential Functions:• Evaluates transfer, test, military and other credit • Provides ongoing tracking of degree progress, explains and interprets requirements and policies to students and faculty advisors • Certifies completion of degrees and certificates and participates in commencement planning activities • Coordinates and monitors all aspects of the certification process of Veteran Affairs (VA) for students meeting that criterion • Coordinates and monitors all aspects of International student enrollment • Provides ongoing support to One-Stop Student Services teams in the area of records and evaluation services • Assists with other student records functions as assigned that may include registration transactions, grade processing, degree verifications, reporting, running daily system processes, residency, appeals, transcript orders, etc. • Conveys by words and actions the values expected by CWI • Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements:• At least six months experience in higher education student services, specifically in a Registrars, Admissions or Financial Aid office, or related field • Experience in researching, interpreting and applying college or university policies and procedures demonstrating a considerable knowledge of transfer credit issues or graduation requirements (obtained by direct work experience and not as a student) • Experience compiling data and preparing reports • Strong customer service and communication skills Superior Candidates:• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience • At least one year experience in higher education student services, specifically in a Registrars, Admissions or Financial Aid office, or related field • Experience working in a comprehensive community college setting and/or experience with an integrated database system • Experience working with VA students and in VA computer system, VA-Once • Experience working with SEVIS and/or working with SEVP and Immigration Services • Experience with Datatel Colleague and/or Jenzabar Physical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. I am in need of an administrative assistant to be paid as an independent contractor. Tasks include faxing, phone calls, typing cover letters, typing contracts (fill in the blank, not that hard), filling in misc forms.Potentially running errands to fill flyer boxes, occasionally going to the post office. I am a real estate consultant and the part time help we had is not able to put in enough time. We paid her $100, as an independent contractor, for each closing we had.
