We are a fast-growing locally-owned mortgage banker with a dynamic team of highly experienced mortgage professionals.Roles, tasks, and responsibilities include:• Underwriting, reviewing and analyzing consumer requests for residential mortgage loans• Evaluating and ensuring loan documents are accurate and complete• Reviewing of customer financial statements, credit reports, debt ratios and loan to value• Reviewing proposed properties to ensure acceptability to program guidelines• Combined use of an automated underwriting system and manual underwriting to make determinations• Serving as a consultant/technical resource on difficult scenarios and questions• Assisting with investor post-closing/pre-purchase questions and conditions• Maintaining knowledge of program guideline changes and regulatory agencies’ requirements• Delivering superior customer service to internal and external customersSuccessful candidates must possess the following qualifications:• Three or more years residential mortgage underwriting experience with FHA, VA, USDA and conventional home loans• FHA DE approval required with VA LAPP approval preferred• Intermediate computer skills (including MS Office)• Experience utilizing Fannie Mae DU and Freddie Mac LP automated underwriting systems• Ability to comply with all regulatory training, programs, and policies• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environmentThis is a full-time position with salary commensurate with experience.
