This iBook is in good condition except for two things:1) the battery does not hold a charge.2) the logic board has the dreaded display issue.Because of this it is sold AS-IS, No guarantees, it is usable but BROKEN.The LCD seems in good condition, but like many iBooks, the video chip appears to have an issue. Most people report a completely black screen, but this one wasnt affected too badly by the issue - only small sets of abnormal lines run down the picture vertically and off colors in blocks as you move the cursor. This Mac is fully usable as is with some readability problems on the scrambled screen.This is a problem that can be remedied a couple of ways. By either replacing the logic board (which runs about $100 used) or by doing a google search for \"iBook G4 fix video chip\". There are numerous sites that explain why the video goes bad on so many of these iBooks, and ways of fixing it for little cost. This is a cool little notebook and a better solution than a netbook for under 5 pounds, but its just not what I want.
