Are you interested in the Law? We are a little law firm that handles lots of big law, and many exciting cases. As we are in the process of growing, this position presents a fantastic opportunity for the right person to grow with us.Working as a member of our team will give you first-hand knowledge of the civil and criminal litigation process, including an understanding of the Hawaii Rules of Civil Procedure, as well as State and federal court filing procedures. As the eyes and ears (and third arm) of two of our attorneys you will be opening and organizing new files, preparing correspondence, preparing court filings, and telephone and email communication. Some kind of legal background is preferred, but not required. What we do require is motivation, work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to think on your feet- anything else we can teach you. As with all jobs nowadays, basic computer skills will also be required.Additionally, we have a strong preference for someone with a working knowledge of the Japanese language.
