| I need to find a room (or a sofa or space to camp or sleep) in just about a month from now. I have a few responsabilities out near Honolulu but I wont have any money until the beginning of September when Ill have a check for over 5 grand waiting for me. I can pay for all of my rent and for my share of the bills at that point but is anyone willing to cover them until I receive my check? I make a great roommate and I will clean the house and yard every single day until then. I will also do a lot of other work! Im a 29 year old male college student and Im very easy to get along with. Im originally from Michigan and Im a non-smoker with no pets and very few possessions. I would be comfortable living with people of all ages and backgrounds but I would rather live with someone who voted for Obama and also someone who is not a Republican. I also dont want to live with someone who listens to loud Rap or Heavy Metal music all the time. Not because I dont respect the music as valid artforms, it just doesnt work for me. I definitely wont make a lot of noise! I play the guitar but I always practice outside of the house. I go out a lot and wont have a lot of people over. Is anyone interested? If you are looking for a quiet, empty, beautiful beachfront place,this is it. The condo is simple but very clean, and well-stocked. We have our own snorkeling gear, but he does stock the place with lots of stuff if you dont. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, and lots of videos, books, etc. (we never used those once!) The beach is safe for kids, because its protected by the reef 1/2 mile (?) away, but its also great for snorkeling. I saw a 400-500 lb. sea turtle a few hundred feet out toward the reef. There are plenty of fish and sealife! Many of the people are retired residents and very friendly. Even Ken, the caretaker/gardener, was super helpful with snorkel/travel tips. The north shore waves/ Haleiwa town is about 20-30 mins. north, and Kaneohe Bay about the same distance south. This is NOT the place if you like to party, drink, club and have Waikiki style beaches and fancy accomodations. We never saw more than 7-8 people at a time on the entire stretch of beach. Also, the washer/dryer is very convenient- you go home with clean laundry! I was worried renting off of craigslist, but it really worked out. So nice to get up in the morning and have your coffee just steps from the beach. The time of year we went, October, the weather is perfect. The location to outside activities is perfect. The Polyesian Cultural Center is just minutes away. The North Shore to watch surfers is just a 10 minute drive. The super market is also just minutes away. The little store, Kayas, just across the street and down a bit is a perfect spot to pick up small items and a lovely little walk. All the amenities of the big city in a small rural town. If you like a beach vacation, but dont like the city life, crowds and traffic, then this condo at Pats at Punaluu is the perfect place. We will be back. The condo was very clean, airy and extremely comfortable. It was also stocked with all sorts of swim equipment; fins, goggles, masks and boogie boards. It made a huge difference to have a turnkey furnished apartment to come home to at the end of a busy day instead of a cramped hotel room. I was a little nervous about renting over the internet, but Mr. Chen made the process a very positive experience. He was professional, communicative and friendly. I must say, that the level of service and customer care he provided is very hard to find these days. When we had problems with the microwave, Mr. Chen arranged for a replacement within 2 hours. My son still is talking about his new friend Emmanuel who took such good care of us. The beach is literally 80 feet from the condos front door. It is also very calm water. We were able to swim here when the current at some of the North Shore beaches was too rough. We never had to share the beach with more than three of four people and the gorgeous mountain backdrop was way more impressive than the Waikiki hotel skyline. I highly recommend this condo. This is an immaculate one bedroom that sleeps four to five comfortably. It has a Deluxe King bed in the bedroom and a very comfortable sleeper couch bed with lots of extra linens. The standard five-night minimum stay applies. ******************************************************************* This amazing 1-bedroom/1-bathroom SANDY BEACHFRONT unit is really most accurately described as a \"one-and-a-half\" bedroom, as there is a small \"bonus room\" (w/ twin bed) in addition to the bedroom. The living room is equipped with a sleeper sofa. Everything inside and out is virtually brand-new. Inside you will find everything that you need. Two televisions w/ cable, wireless high-speed Internet connection, pots/pans, bakeware, toaster oven, microwave, fridge/freezer w/ ice maker, extra linens, towels, to name just a portion of the amenities. The unit also has a private thatched-roof lanai off of the living room. There is also a thatched-roof tiki bar only about 20 feet from the waters edge. The tiki bar area houses a 7-person hot tub, mini fridge, and dartboard. Also provided: 2-person kayak, 1-person kayak, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach toys, beach chairs, and gas grill. Please note that this is the top unit of a 2-unit split-level home, and there is a third roadside unit occupied by the owners. Basically everything outside is shared by all.
