Great deal on a room that rented for $1050 just last month. We thought we had an agreement twice this month but both ended up falling through and now we have ended up facing June 1st without a roommate to help us share the rent. We are submitting our thirty days notice today and as we will have to cover our previous roommates rent either way so we will take in whoever offers the most for our available room to help us cover this month’s rent. We will even move out of the master bedroom (which has an attached bathroom) if this is more appealing to a prospective candidate. This is a really nice 3 bedroom house (with front and back yards and a two car garage and a huge kitchen and living room) in a very convenient but quiet neighborhood (2116 Chamberlain St. Honolulu HI) very close to the University of Hawaii (5 minute walk). My wife likes to garden in the back and as a result we also have a thriving vegetable garden as well (as well as a lychee and avocado tree). There is also a washer/dryer on the property and a huge front lanai with great views of Diamondhead and the city. The three of us that currently live here are busy/responsible professionals who are considerate, clean and quiet. We would have been happy to stay here long-term but our struggles finding a roommate have led us to decide to submit our thirty days notice to the landlord today (the lease expires 6/1 but we promised to give at least 30 days notice) and just pay the extra money our former roommates took care of last month out of our own pockets (we plan to get a new place by July 1st).
