Welcome to my home in Kapoho. I just found out that the magazine, Hawaii Revealed, just posted the Kapoho tidepools as one of the top 15 sights to visit when visiting the Islands.
These tidepools are a spectacular event. About a half mile wide and a few hundred yards deep, these volcanic tidepools are all loaded with tropical fish, beautiful marine corals of all shapes colors and sizes.
Whale watching is from about December till April, and I was just there and witnessed this amazing event.

Kapoho is the last frontier of the Hawaiian Islands. Surrounded by papaya farms, orchid ranches, umbrella covered coastal drives, black sand beaches of kehena and kalapana, and sometimes lava viewing from the PU U O O crater. But I can't promise you this sight.
Kapoho is natural Hawaii. Peaceful, uncrowded, no traffic, one traffic light.
