My friend is getting married in Maui on Sept. 9th and looking for a house in Maui for 1 week starting Sept. 5.Im an architect in Los Angeles.I have a great 2 br overlooking a park in the heart of downtown Los Angeles - Market Lofts on 9th & Hope.It has a community pool, gym, club house, and a theater.Its walking distance to:Metro Redline (subway that connects to Hollywood, Universal Studios, etc)LA Live (Staples Center, Nokia Theater, etc.)Walt Disney Concert Hall and rest of the Music CenterMuseum of Contemporary ArtGreat restaurants and night lifeSupermarket (right below my condo), Macys, and other shopping essentialsId be willing to provide a car as well. We have a gorgeous 4BR/3BA 2,000+ ft2 home on the Kenai River in Soldotna Alaska that we would like to trade for anywhere in Hawaii for two weeks between January 2 and January 18 in exchange for two weeks in August or September 2009 or anytime 2010. Our house has 3 floors, with large deck, stairs and fishing platform; remodeled in 2003. Fully furnished, sheets, dishes, stc. Has refrig, microwave, DW, washer/dryer, propane grill, patio set, wood burning warmer stove (outside). Views of river and mountains. Moose in the yard and eagles overhead. 15 mi to town. Very quiet and restful but close enough to Soldotna town center, road to Kenai and Homer. 3 1/2 hrs south of Anchorage. No smoking/no pets. Lets exchange info. More photos available. We are looking for a place near the beach in Maui (or perhaps other Hawaiian island, were open). We are available to switch any 6+ days during June 20th-July 5th. Our place is a two bedroom one bath. In a great neighborhood, close to the freeway and 9 miles from the beach. There are tons of great restaurants in walking distance, Starbucks around the corner. My husband, young son and I want to go to Maui for one to three weeks anytime soon and have a great house in Napa, CA. We figure a house swap is a great idea! Both are very desirable destinations so Im sure there is someone wanting to come to the wine country. We live in over 15 acres in the best location smack dab in the middle of the wine valley. Just a few miles from Napa off Silverado Trail. You cant get a better location for wine tasting! The house is an old comfortable farm house. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, family dining and kitchen. King and queen sized beds. Downstairs will hold three queen size air mattresses. Plenty of parking. VERY private. Air conditioning and central heat. Not the most remodeled/updated house youve been in but cozy and comfortable. Please email me for pictures if you think we could work something out with a description of your home. Oh, and we have a cat and bird that would need a once daily food change.
