Aloha. Kapoho? Never heard of it? Well then let me introduce you to one of the most beautiful, romantic areas of the Big Island of Hawaii. Kapoho is a remote land, free from hotels, motels, traffic, and large tourist crowds. Primarily Kapoho is an orchid farm area, along with two residential communities. Beach lots and Vacation land. Both offering incredible, easy snorkeling access at the kapoho tidepools, otherwise known as the Wai Opea National marine Sanctuary. These protected tidepools are vast, deep,or shallow, but safe, warm and an incredible adventure for both young and old. We are located right on the south eastern Tip of the Big island of hawaii. These pools are always loaded with tropical fish, incredible coral formations, and are even home to the Green Hawaiian Sea Turtle. Protected from the pounding Hawaiian surf by a volcanic shelf, these pools are like diving into the largest marine salt water aquarium, except theres about a hundred of them. these tidepools are volcanic, but just 15 minutes away are the black sands beaches of kalapana and kehena, lava viewing as it flows into the ocean, ahaluani warm ponds, another geothermally heated tidepool located three minutes from our home, in a park like setting right on the ocean front. Our home was built and completed in Sept of 07 by my son and I. Just this year we offered our home right here on craigslist to you. 2300 sq ft. large open beam vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans in all rooms, tile floors, outside wrap around covered walkways all leading to our ocean view lanai. Custom stairway leads up to the house.l We are fully furnished, full kitchen with everything youll need for cooking, laundry room, cable tv, surround sound in our huge custom Cupala over the living room area. A cupala is a giant tower, so to speak, 23 feet from floor to ceiling w/ 12 windows . We have three bedrooms two bathrooms. One bathroom is located in the master bedroom and has a nice large jacuzzi bathtub for you to relax in, coming home from the days adventures in kapoho. We also sit 14 feet off the ground, thus allowing for the easterly trades to cool the entire home. Close by is our local town of pahoa. Pahoa is an old sugarcane town. Wooden sidewalks, great eateries, Malmana shopping center just completed. So all your shopping needs for your vacation are just ten minutes drive from our front door. Our home is 500 feet from the ocean, and about a four minute walk to the Kapoho tidepools. Fifteen minute walk to the Champaign ponds of beachlots community. Again, kapoho is a remote area of the Big Island. Tropcial Rain Forests surround us, coconut trees everywhere, along with Hibiscus, Orchids and natural beauties of the hawaiian Islands. Do you surf or boogey board? Just three minutes up the red road is shacks, secrets, as and bs. No crowds great surfing. Even good fishing can be had within a five minute walk from our home. We keep are rates well below that of most other homes in the area, to promote our home being occupied while we are not there. Most homes of our equal would be running, as you can easily verify 175-200 dollars per night. Even in this recession. By keeping our rate at 100 dollars per night we have afforded everyone the opportunity to come to a beautiful Hawaiian Paradise. The economy has affected my bookings and so you can take advantage of these unheard of rates! Check my availability calendars for dates still available (below).My condo is only 30 feet from the water and has a large private lanai to enjoy those famous Kona sunsets. Many of my guests have seen dolphins and whales right from the lanai and for sure you will see the resident sea turtles that sun themselves on the beach daily. Next door is a famous surfing beach and locals are navigating the waves with surf boards, boogie boards, kayaks and even the new paddle surfing. So much fun to watch while sitting on the lanai having a cool drink.The master bedroom has a king bed, private bath and 8 foot floor to ceiling windows out to the view. The second bedroom has a queen bed and separate bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size appliances and there is a washer and dryer in the unit.The complex has a pool, Jacuzzi, and plenty of free covered parking close to the elevator or stairs. There is air conditioning although because of the temperate climate of Kona it is used very infrequently. Kona’s average temperature of 84 degrees means it is never too hot and NEVER too cold! I have wireless in the unit and free long distance to the US and Canada.Experienced surfers can boogie board or surf at Banyan Beach next door. For those with less experience, there is a good beach for both about a mile south of the condo. There are many wonderful Kona beaches to expore. From a live volcano with flowing lava to snow capped mountains - you will never be bored for something to do on the Big Island. Or maybe you just want to relax and sit on your private lanai 30 from the ocean. Take a seat in your comfortable Tropitone rocking chair and soak up the warm sun, read a good book and enjoy the fresh breeze off the water. Its so close that when a big wave comes in you can feel the ocean spray! There is much to explore right on the condo beach. Take a walk and see if you can find the sea turtles that are on the condo beach eating and sunning themselves every day and the tide pools make for fun exploring.You will never be bored for something to do.
