These Rocket style Bat Houses or Bat Boxes are built to last many years. They are constructed from solid 7/8” Atlantic White Cedar, secured with brass screws, 50-year rated caulk and finished in a water base black exterior stain. Each Rocket style bat house or bat box is built bases on the plans from J. MacGregor and D. Dourson of the Daniel Boone National Forest and should hold 75 to 100 bats. The base is designed to be mounted on the top of a 4 x 4 post. These bat houses are complete and ready for installation on a post you need to supply. The over all height of this bat house is 54 ½”. The bat box is 38” x 7” x 7”. There is a single ¾” roosting chamber around a specially cut 4 x 4.
