Kayla is a 12 year old female cat. Her owner recently died and, instead of finding Kayla a good home, her owner's son took her down to the local shelter and asked them to euthanize her. Luckily for Kayla the people at the shelter decided she deserved to live out the rest of her life and contacted Kitty Connection, a no kill rescue. Kitty Connection is now sponsoring Kayla's adoption.
Kayla is a very affectionate, healthy cat who is a little frightened by recent changes in her life. She loves to snuggle up close to people and to be brushed. The vet thinks Kayla is very healthy which is a good sign that she may have many years left to live. Indoor cats regularly live to be 20. Kayla is declawed, spayed, and up to date on shots. She only has one eye and we don't know how she lost the other one, but it doesn't seem to bother her at all. Her other eye is really big and beautiful (the picture doesn't do it justice). She is a little shy right now, probably due to the stress, but seems to be good with people of all ages and other cats.
Kitty Connection would like to find Kayla a great home as soon as possible so they are only asking for a very small adoption donation. This donation would go towards covering the cost of a full geriatric blood work up on Kayla which would give the adopters a better sense of her health.
If you are interested in adopting Kayla please contact me, her foster mom, by replying to this posting or contact Kitty Connection directly (www.kittyconnection.net)
