This is a Velodyne SPL series sub-woofer. Serving a 15 inch long throw woofer is 2000 watts of peak and 1000 watts of nominal power. This has a mic and remote control. The mic is for EQ ing the woofer for the room. It has a "self tailoring" computer built in for setting up the sub for your room placement. Plug in the mic, press auto EQ on the remote, then it runs a series of frequency sweeps to adjust appropriately. In a cherry finish it also looks good. But most importantly it sounds great.
