All of DC's attractions are walkable and my home is round the corner from two metros: U Street and Dupont Circle - also on direct line to National Airport. I live in a beautiful old building with a lovely view. My second bedroom is freshly painted with a comfortable futon, fluffy bedclothes and wifi. She has a superb location to see the *real* DC (as former DC residents, we lived in the neighborhood just north of hers) as well as get super fast access to downtown and all the sights. It's a great spot for both Metro train and bus to anywhere in the city. Antonia herself was a wonderful hostess. She accommodated our schedules, caught us up on all the DC news, and even served us tea in the evenings. The room was comfy, private, and warm (DC got a cold snap just as we arrived) and we had plenty of room to put out our stuff and settle in.
