A lot of people come to DC for conferences, so if that is the case, I can help you with metro+bus navigation to make sure you get to your meetings on time. My boyfriend and I live together, and you'll get along with us both tremendously, especially if you like nice beer, conversation, and music. My apartment can fit one or two people on a twin air mattress and/or couch in the living room. I have lots of natural light, a south facing balcony (with view of Wash monument and capital when it is clear) and a roof top patio which is very nice for relaxing after a long day of work, sightseeing, etc. Close to metro, restaurants, buses, etc. you can easily go anywhere from where I live. You can walk to Adams Morgan, Dupont and U street. I am five minutes from the Columbia Heights Metro (green/yellow lines). I work and go to graduate classes at night, so I will not bother you at all. I am friendly, worldly, and tidy! If I accept you to stay at my place, I will email you and request that you send me at least on reference from either a current or former roommate or an employer. Also, I allow smoking on the balcony or the roof deck, but not in the apartment. I'll gladly make you coffee (french press) or tea in the a.m. and will provide other breakfast goodies you can choose from. Guests that stay for longer than three nights also can use my washing machine and dryer if they'd like.
