Thank you for your interest in the fully furnished studio apartment at 1715 Euclid Street - Adams - Morgan. The terms of availability begin mid August for a period of time not less than three months at $2,200.00/month, but other terms in duration may be negotiated. While you may very well find less expensive apartments, you won’t find one in the Adams Morgan area this nicely furnished with amenities at this price. I’m sure you have questions about the apartment, but please take the time to read the following and I am confident your questions will be answered:
The Adams - Morgan area has been called by many residents of Washington, D.C. as the “Greenwich Village” of D.C. Our building is in the heart of Adams-Morgan, walking distance (a mere 1.5 blocks!) to all of the great restaurants and hot, hot nightlife that the area is famous for. Also conveniently located (a stone’s throw away) is a newly opened Harris Teeter grocery store that brings the option of upscale shopping to the neighborhood. A Safeway grocery, Blockbuster, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, FedEx/Kinkos, a U.S. Post Office, several dry cleaners and other great retailers are just one block away. The closest servicing Metro Rail is Adams Morgan/Woodley Park Station, and is an approximately 13 to 17 minute walk from your apartment. Metro Bus service is also available from Columbia Road, 18th Street and on 16th Street, which compliments this great urban living location. For more detailed information on The Districts fantastic public transportation (Metro Bus and Rail), please refer to: www.wmata.com for routes, schedules and fare data.
Description and Amenities: The building is safe and secure and contains only five units: (3) one bedroom; (1) two bedroom; and (1) studio apartment. Although the building is approximately 100 years old, a full renovation was completed in 1998-1999. The apartment is an elegantly furnished studio apartment and is best suited for one person (our policy dictates that we will only rent this space to one person). The unit is equipped with washer/dryer, a fully functional, large kitchen to include: refrigerator, garbage disposal, dishwasher, new ceramic-top oven/range, and plenty of cabinet room. The kitchen opens to the stylishly decorated, main living space where you will find a pub table and bar stools, dresser and chest of drawers, a full-size Murphy Bed enclosed in a cherry wood cabinet, book cases, Ethan Allen computer/writing desk and chair to name just a few amenities. Ceilings are 10' tall with recessed lighting and three large bay windows provide for ample natural light and views of eclectic and pleasantly shaded Euclid Street. The living area is all hardwood flooring with a plush Oriental rug and brilliant white, ceramic tile is used in both the kitchen and bathroom. Guest entry is controlled within the apartment by a telephone access system.
An energy efficient heat pump (central air unit) with digital thermostat provides comfort year-around in the unit. Utilities are NOT part of rent and will be deducted from security deposit at end of term by monthly invoices/usage; however, the building and apartment is very energy efficient and your bills will strictly be based on your personal level of comfort and the amount of cooking and washing/drying you do. Recent electric billing averages for this unit has been around $49.00/month during winter and summer months and $28.00/month during fall and spring months.
The apartment is very nicely and completely furnished with many items from The Bombay Company. Also available are plenty of linens, pillows, towels, and full set of all kitchen utensils/cutlery and cooking items to include a microwave oven, toaster, pots, pans, coffee maker, glasses (wine, water, etc.), flatware, etc. . . . it’s all there! In the bathroom you will find a large closet with ample space to store your items . . . all you need to bring are your clothes and your toothbrush. For entertainment there is a new, modern flat screen TV and home theater system with surround sound.
The building has no dedicated parking; however, street parking is available on a first come-first serve basis. If you bring your vehicle into the neighborhood you will need to bring a copy of your lease, proof of insurance and your vehicle’s registration to D.C. DMV (300 C Street, NW) to apply for a Zoned Parking Sticker. Most tenants choose not to bother with cars because of the efficiency of D.C.’s public transportation system. Parking is attainable, but if you come home on a weekend evening past 7pm . . . good luck! Suburbanites from all over the Metro area flock here and park wherever possible to take advantage of what is Adams Morgan.
If you're coming to The District for the AFIP Course at Walter Reed, you won't find a more convenient location. First, there's no need for your car. A Metro Bus just one block away for $1.35 will drop you at Walter Reed's rear gate in less than 20 minutes. Second, our Adams Morgan location offers walking distance to a thriving entertainment district and great restaurants--walk to everything!
The fully furnished unit is being offered at $2,000/month + utilities (all electric, no gas, landlord pays water and trash service). Direct TV with Premium Channels to include (5) HBOs, (11) Starz and Encore channels . . . AND . . . DSL (High-Speed Internet, accessed through an encrypted wireless network) is all included in the rent!
Please note that our insurance does not allow for smoking and no pets are permitted. There is no hardwired telephone service, so you are encouraged to have a cellular phone if applicable.
