Well I have a very small room in DC home located less than a mile from the Fort Toten Metro and Takoma Park Metros. The room is available for the month of July only! All utilities included. House has internet! The room was originally my office but I converted it into a bedroom. Given, the room has bookcases attached to the wall on two sides of the wall that make for excellent storage. There is a queen size bed that takes up most of the room but if the right tenants prefers a smaller bed, I'm willing to put a twin in. The room has a television and dresser. To save space, I can put the TV on the dresser. This would allow you to place a desk and chair in the room as well. I can put the desk in for a one time fee of $50. While wifi is not included, I do allow everyone in the house to access my wifi for free.Cable is $30 a month and is already on in the room. The renter will share a bathroom located on the first floor. The room was originally designed to be a sun room so there are about eight windows which gives the room plenty of light. Since the room is in the back of the house, there is also a degree of privacy. You can also enter the house through the back and enter straight into the room. This prevents you from having to walk through the living room, dining room and kitchen. The house is usually young professionals (late twenties to early forties) though I've had younger and older. Generally, most tenants are progressives, and I occasionally host dinner parties with friends and tenants. I try to keep a fairly quiet house, however, the weekends tend to be, well, weekends. Noise is not a huge concern for me, but I like to be respectful of the rest of the people in the house.
