The blade is made from 154 CM stainless steel, an outstanding and durable blade steel that holds a sharp edge for a long time, and Emerson is an outstanding manufacturer. G-10 is a strong, virtually indestructible fiberglass resin. Chisel-ground knife blades are thick and very sturdy, and the tanto point is not as “pointy” as regular drop point or spear point blades, so not as prone to breakage if the knife is used for prying or other hard use.
