Pearl's Session Custom SMX Drum Sets feature the same 6 ply 7.5mm All-Maple shells that are found on the Masters MRX series drums. In addition, the drums feature 2.3mm Superhoop II's, bridge lugs, and Pearl's excellent Optimount tom mounting system. The drums are beautifully stained a classic vintage sunburst, and are NOT wrapped with cheap acrylic covers. This is an amazing sounding kit, I have been playing for roughly 6 years and am trying to save money for college and purchase a smaller jazz style kit that I can bring to school.
