ANTIQUE BOUNCING SWAN - $48 (MILLSBORO/SMYRNA, DEL.)

$ANTIQUE CHILDRENS TOY ROCKING-BOUNCING SWAN YOU WILL NOT KNOW HOW YOU LIVED WITH OUT IT! Seriously this is a cool old toy. They just dont make toys like this anymore. If you are old enough than you may remember when toys were made with sturdy, strong pinch you legs hard! springs. The Duck itself is plastic colored pink, blue & yellow. It is mounted to a wooden base that is painted pink, back when we used real lead based paint! This base is attached to four sturdy springs, the kind that you may remember tearing at your legs on toys like this when you were a child. The springs then attach to two curved rails. This design allowed for the child to bounce and rock the toy. There are two wooden handles one on each side of the head. There are two small stress cracks in the plastic next to the handles in the head presumably from a childs enthusiasm. They are minor and in no way detract from the toy. There is a safety strap made of pink leather with a golden buckle in the seating area. The buckle is functioning fine but starting to show its age as it should be. This is a great conversation piece. Our home is full of antiques and curio sites and yet everyone who visits immediately is drawn to mentioning this vintage toy. They are always then prone to mention a toy they remember from there childhood. For many this is a walk down memory lane! This is a very unique item. We are confidient that you will enjoy it. Looks great in any collection. Would be great in a theme restaurant. Would make a great odd styled album cover for the right band. APX DIMS 35\$

Gibson Cambria ice box! This is a genuine antique icebox. This is a full house size, four door box, and is a very rare find as you typically see the smaller apt size, only it is signed \"Gibson Cambria\" on an engraved plate. Ash and oak hardwood has warm golden patina, The finish is in very good condition with lots of character, minor wear and or stains just enough to add to its charm. Hardware is in beautiful shape just as is the unit. It has a hinged panel across the bottom of the front of the box for empting a drip tray. The 2 top doors open out to reveal a black, tin lined inside. The right side comes with 3 adjustable shelves and the left side is open. This is a remarkable find!!!! You just can not find craftsmanship like this anywhere. This box is over 100 years old and is in better shape then most of the furniture in my home now. I had a hard time believing myself that this piece is from the turn of the century. You want to talk about history? This piece is living history. This was used before electricity! This is something that our grandparents, even great grand parents used, back in the � good ole days�, back in the days of �milk men� and �butcher shops� This box was in use back when horse and carriage was the main mode of transportation. Blocks of ice were probably delivered to this box by horse drawn wagons, talk about nostalgia ? There is absolutely nothing wrong with this ice box. It is ready to use right now. It will look beautiful in any collection or on its own. I have it sitting in my living room right now. It looks great! It is a wonderful source of conversation, everyone who enters my home comments on it and it quickly becomes the focal point of all conversations. You have to see it to truly appreciate it. Words nor pictures can fully describe how wonderful this item is. This would make someone a WONDERFUL Christmas gift. How about your grandparents anniversary or birthday gift? Imagine receiving a childhood memory in your senior years as a gift. The nickel hardware is original on this tin-lined antique kitchen furniture from about 1895.
