As the Loan Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of loan documentation duties on moderately complex loans, using comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures for loan products. Functions include: processing; closing and compliance for loan products; interpreting policies while analyzing applicant, property and documentation; ordering all required verifications, documentation and subsequent follow ups. Candidates must be a US Citizen with a high level of query skills including SAS, SQL and then ACCESS as a third choice. Data coding is plus. Strong analytical skills are required to explain what is being queried. Strong logistical Regression modeling skills, strong consumer credit risk. Credit card or credit experience is ideal. Strong BA skills is a must. Someone who understands human data and financials... A collection background is ideal. This could be a full time perm or a right to hire position... Degree is required! Preferrably a MS. Minimum Requirements:Bachelors Degree in the areas of business, accounting, marketing, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent experience; 3-4 years of related experience, experience with analytics tools such as SAS, Matlab, or SPSS; experience with Business Objects, Oracle business Intelligence, Crystal Reports; knowledge of database languages such as SQL; and proficient in MS Project (or similar project management tool), Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.Preferred Qualifications:Position will report to the Director of Collection Strategies for Private Credit. The ideal candidate will have experience with predictive modeling, data mining and management, loss forecasting, and strategy implementation. It is also preferred that the candidate possess project management skills, presentation skills and exceptional organizational skills required to manage and sponsor several projects simultaneously. Additionally, experience in the management, development and training of strategic analysts and modelers is preferred.Responsibilities will include strategy development, testing, implementation, validation and analytics. This manager and analysts on the strategies team will work closely with modeling resources to direct the development of complex segmentation and prediction tools for use in strategic applications. In addition, candidate will manage the creation and interpretation of analysis/validations connected to models and strategic initiatives. Large Mortgage company in Newark is in need of a Senior Loan Processor. Essential Functions: Set up loan files, manually and on the computer and order all exhibits, order appraisals, serve as a liaison between the customer, sales representative and the underwriting department, process the mail for each loan file, work up cases for submission when all required exhibits are received, upon approval of the loan, notify the borrower and appropriate personnel, prepare closing documents, be knowledgeable of broker products and companies and must be able to process loans through desktop underwriting for submission.
