Job Purpose:In accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations and as directed by the Business Office Director, assure that the personnel files are maintained and payroll and employee benefits are administered appropriately.Duties:* Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid-time not worked, status, and pay; calculating vacation earned.* Prepares pay by verifying time records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers; calculating and producing quarterly incentive bonuses.* Ensure that appropriate documentation concerning the employees right to work in this country is verified in accordance with applicable laws, and that the appropriate documentation is filed in the employees personnel file.* Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings; negotiating with collection agencies to convert garnishments to wage assignments.*Process all newly hired personnel and all change of status data. * Maintains life insurance by updating calculations; preparing check requests; initiating disbursements.* Check applications and references of prospective employees as required or requested.*Maintain employee files for personnel in the facility. (Included job applications, resumes, reference checks, etc of those persons meeting the eligibility requirements for the position in which they applied.)* Monitor Workers Comp claims and coordinate work between employees and insurance carrier.* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading regulations and professional publications.Skills/Qualifications:ADP Experience a must!
