Hello, were excitedly planning our Rehoboth vacation for September 2010 and looking for a reasonably priced weekly rental cottage in The Pines area of Rehoboth Beach. We normally stay at either #69 or #48 Oak Ave residences, depending on the number of guests we have, but these rentals are now priced over what were willing to pay. Wed like to find a cottage 2 or 3 blocks from Ocean Blvd. (walkable to the beach). It should be suitable for two, but able to accommodate our two other couple friends should they be able to come; so comfortable sleeping accommodations for six. We are accustomed to and would want the following basic amenities: A CLEAN, well-kept home with well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, large, front-side screened porch, access to hot tub (optional), outdoor shower(s), usable bikes (optional), laundry, a transferrable city parking permit (optional), cable TV and DVD player.My family has owned cottages and has vacationed in Rehoboth beginning in the 1920s. Our aesthetic preference is for a quaint, vintage-style (lightly updated) cottage from around that period or slightly later; into the early mid-century. We have no interest in new development. The approximate dates of our vacation will be September, 2010, either the 3rd or forth week of the month. Preference is for a Friday to Saturday rental. We are both extremely responsible and industrious and have decided to conduct a private listing search over going with an agency, because prices have increased so that weve been priced out of a vacation destination we love so much.
