HI!We are a family from Portland ME. and are traveling down to D.C. for the week of 7/12.We are attempting to figure out a cool rental house for a couple of nights on the way back.We have never done this - so not sure how it works... but I am figuring that even rentals that are only week-long may become available as the date gets close, if they are still open.Our ideal rental dates are:7/16 or 7/17 UNTIL 7/20 or 7/21but we may be flexible on either end.There are 2 of us, I am a 35 year-old professional, and my wife is a 3rd grade teacher.We have 2 dogs. They are awesome (I realize that is not entirely objective, but they are easy travelers). We have a 5-year-old golden (has been shaved for the season so no hair concerns) and a 4-year-old Brittany.The dogs are very very clean, and quiet. They are very well trained.We are looking for a small house or cottage on some sort of lake or the ocean.that’s really it...dont need a ton of amenities, but a TV would be nicelinens would be a plusWe have the opportunity to hit up any place north of Virginia and south of Maine... so I have decided to post this in a few Craig’s lists.If you are trying to fill some days, shoot me an email.... pictures are a must.Thanks!!! The pictures looked nice so we once again took a gamble and rented the property.\"This place was the nicest, cleanest, comfortable place we ever stayed in. Not only is it beautifully decorated and spot clean but it feels like home. We enjoyed coming home to the stunning sunroom every day to relax.
