EDIT: I've received this question a half-dozen times; I figure its just easiest to answer for all. Q: Can't I rotate the window and use it as a double-hung? No, a slider window doesn't have the counterbalance setup that a double-hung window has. If you put a slider in so the window opens top to bottom you'll likely end up with a broken window or fingers (gravity will slam the window shut shortly after opening).

Unique, heavy brass door knocker. Possibly antique but not appraised. European style "coat of arms" motif with crown at top and knight on horseback in relief at center. Time along with weather has created a nice greenish-bronze patina on this sculptured piece. Ideal for larger entry doors and to make a design statement.Weight is 1.75 lbs and size is 8" high x 5.5" wide. It attaches to the door by( two) 2.4" bolts spaced 3" on center. There is a hairline fracture towards the bottom but this does not affect the integrity of the item and actually appears to be a part of the design.No identifying marks can be found to determine the origin.
