I am a 22yo who is looking for housing. I work full time and am going to school. Which is why I am looking for something relatively inexpensive. I work early in the morning till about 2 in the afternoon so I wont be too much of a bother. I will be going to school at night so you will probably hardly ever see me. I just need a place to be able to sleep eat and shower. Most of my time will be spent outside of the house. I will not have any over night guests and am not a partier. I like to have an occasional beer here and there with dinner but not into heavy drinking nor is it a daily occurrance. I am a pet lover however I am allergic to cats. If you have a Dog that amazing because I love them to death. Just looking for something simple and not too extravagant. I dont mind sharing a bathroom nor does the gender of the roommates make a difference. Girls are cleaner and just easier to live with but it does not really matter. Hello! We are just moving into our newly leased TH, in the Saratoga area of Springfield, and we are looking for a roommate to fill one of the unfurnished, open rooms.The TH is HUGE.. nearly 2,600 square feet of living space! At the moment, we dont even have enough furniture to bring from our small apartment, to furnish all of this giganti-ormous house.. So theres plenty of room if you have a living room set (or various other household furniture) of your own. We do have a complete household set (LR, DR, kitchen supplies, etc.), but this place has two floors of living room/ rec room space, so we can easily fit double what we have! The house is 4 BD/ 2 FB/ 2 HB. Its an end unit facing the woods, with a fenced-in backyard. It has brand new carpet (so please, only people who will respect the home, as we do not want to ruin the brand-new carpets). It has TONS of storage space, a wood-burning fireplace, ceiling fans throughout the home, and a newly remodeled kitchen.The bedroom is sizeable - 11x10 - not the biggest room out there, but definitely not small. It has a decent-size closet, with windows that look out onto the trees in the back of the home. The bedroom will share an updated bath with one other roommate (who does clean the bathroom on a regular basis.. so please, new roommate, be clean as well!). The rent will be $550 for your room, plus 1/4 of the utilities.. which shouldnt run more than $100 per person. There are two assigned parking spaces for the house, with more curbside parking about 50 yards down the street. There are also more assigned parking spaces available for a reasonable monthly rent (from the HOA?), if we so desire. We will have one office/ guest bedroom that we are open to share.. for any roommates friends, family, etc. that you would like to come visit.We dont have the service provider selected yet, but well be getting lots of HD channels with a DVR.. probably a sports package for football season.. and will have high-speed internet connected asap. Right now, were not planning on getting a landline phone because we all use our cell phones exclusively.Pets should be okay... but we would need to get approval from the landlord, and pay a refundable pet deposit.We are planning on getting one cat sometime in the near future, so pet allergies would not work with us. And if I can ever get my dog back from my mom (since she confiscated him months ago :-P), we may have a well-trained, medium-sized, 40lbs, 11-year-old, yellow lab-mixed breed dog. Current roommates are male and female, mid-to-late twenties. Ones in grad school, the other just recently finally graduated with her bachelors (finally! hehe, and GO HOKIES!!). We all work steady, long-term evening jobs. Clean and tidy in common areas (and we are looking for the same). But not anal in terms of personal, room \"mess\".. ie. clothes, piles of mail, etc. Just be respectful of the common areas. Were friendly, outgoing (but also like our quiet, alone time). Sometimes were crazy, spontaneous and silly.. but not in an irresponsible way. Were more of the occasional cocktail party or happy hour- type people.. not loud, obnoxious kegger-types. We like watching movies/tv, playing games, cooking out, having dinner together.. and would love it if you joined us.. but its certainly not required. Were all friends and we try to help eachother out as much as we can, and would love someone who could fit into that dynamic. We dont smoke, and prefer the same. Id prefer another female (since Im the female here writing this.. hehe), but its not a requirement at all... but please, if we pick another guy.. dont be a womanizing, rude, d*ckhead (sorry, for lack of better words), please. :-) thank you! heheSaratoga is very close to Fort Belvoir, 95, and 7100 (which is my fav. for quick, traffic-free driving!). Theres a metro bus stop at the end of the street. Hello! My name is Pete, I grew up in Burke, and Ive just moved back to the area after living in NC for the last five years. I moved in to a room in a townhouse but it is too crowded. I dont have a preference of male or female room mates and I dont mind cats or dogs. I got rid of most of my furniture recently so Im down to my large collection of books, vinyl records, and dvds which Im happy to share. I love hunting down cool furniture, fixing it up, or building my own. I have many photographs that Ive taken all over the country and world so we can print some up for the place. I also enjoy music...I play didgeridoos, just picked up the guitar, and use software sampling and recording devices to play around with on the computer. Im interested in a lot of different creative endeavors and Im pretty easy to live with. I dont party too much but I dont mind if others do. Im not looking for a party house but Im not a neat freak or anal busybody (I know youve been reading these ads.) I do enjoy meeting new people, having many different friends, and everything that goes with that, like cooking for people and hosting get-togethers. Im open to move anytime in the next month or two. I dread finding another room with strangers and starting this process all over again. I want to find a stable place with good people. There are some really nice 2 and 3 bedroom apartments around Centreville and Fairfax that are affordable, especially for three people. If we can spend 600 or 700 a piece we should have no problems. Some of these apartment complexes and home owners are beginning to realize that prices are coming down and are willing to make a deal. If we team up we will be in a much better position.
