The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Clinical Trials Specialist to support the U.S. Military HIV Program (USMHRP) located in Rockville, Maryland. HJF provides management and administrative support to USMHRP.USMHRP is dedicated to HIV vaccine development, prevention, disease surveillance and care and treatment for HIV. This program builds on the strength of the U.S. military medical research community, and addresses specific HIV research requirements to meet its mission: prevention of HIV-1 disease in the active force and, by extension, the global community at risk of infection.Responsibilities include:• Coordinate all aspects of protocol development including but not limited to; development of a final protocol that meets all regulatory requirements set forth by Department of Defense (DoD) Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and IRBs located at respective participating sites, anticipate, identify and resolve problems that may delay study progression, assemble a protocol team and facilitate protocol team communication throughout study duration, and assist in the development and implementation of case report forms (CRFs). •Oversee site activation procedures to include the training of site personnel on protocol specific procedures, review and approval of site readiness, and develop protocol tools as necessary to assist participating sites in the conduct of a clinical trial. •Development of COO Standard Operating Procedures.Incumbents must have:•Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.•Bachelors Degree. •3-5 Years Clinical Research Experience.
