| Overview AFS Intercultural Programs is a not-for-profit, multi-national, non-governmental organization dedicated to peace through the promotion of worldwide intercultural learning and living experiences, primarily for high school students. A Field Recruiter’s primary responsibility is to recruit high school age participants to go on AFS study abroad programs through educational and informative classroom presentations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for all human resource activities to include recruitment, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. - Identify recruitment sources, place ads, screen and distribute resumes, pre-interview applicants, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, check references, and prepare offer packages.- Design and conduct new employee orientations.- Administer and explain benefits to employees.- Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses. - Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. - Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. - Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested. - Travel to multiple sites to conduct meetings, employee relations, and other functions. - Administer health insurance plan, process enrollments, terminations, and COBRA enrollments.- Recommend and administer employee recognition plan.- Plan and coordinate annual company party.- Create correspondence, documentation, new forms and modify existing company forms as necessary. - Monitor personnel postings in the office including Labor Law posters, Birthday and Anniversary listings and announcements. - Administration of the 401(k) plan, Process enrollment and withdrawal forms, coordinate semi-annual meetings, prepare, review, and transmit necessary reports- Prepare all employee termination paperwork and packets. - Ensure company is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local employment laws- Other duties as required and/or assigned. These are extremely fun classes but they require that you be flexible and open to new and creative approaches to teaching languages to young children!Responsibilities: • Teach dynamic 45 minute play-based immersion classes (no English is spoken) to one more of our class levels:o Parent & Tot for children ages 18 months-3 years old (with caregivers)o Pre-school for children 3-5 years old o Elementary for children 5-7 years old• Use feedback gained in teaching these classes to further develop and improve the curriculum and materials.Required Qualifications: • Fluency in French or Mandarin – native prefered Experience teaching young children,• Incredibly energetic and dramatic; an outgoing personality, high level of enthusiasm, self-confidence and no self-consciousness are a must for this position!• Some academic background in French or Mandarin language as well as instruction, preferably to young children.Other Beneficial Qualifications:• Experience with children’s theatre, music or art• Crafting and games experience playing an instrument ( preferably guitar )• Singing, dancing, or theatre acting experience: Hours and Compensation:Hours are quite flexible.
