Instead LogistiCare manages a network of transportation providers and provides the administrative infrastructure to authorize services and provide billing and claims payment functionality allowing LogistiCare to offer a complete outsourcing solution to our clients.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------LogistiCare is seeking a Healthcare Manager for our regional office located in Herndon, VA.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Healthcare Manager works closely with nursing homes, dialysis clinics, and other medical providers that have numerous clients with routinely scheduled trips in order to maximize scheduling coordination and information sharing. The Healthcare Manager visits facilities regularly to provide training and information about the NEMT process, and to learn about facility concerns. Most of LogistiCare Healthcare Managers have backgrounds in medical social work. Minimum requirements for this position include experience with facility based social service programs, including facility discharge planning, superior communication skills; excellent problem solving skills.Qualified Candidates will be knowledgeable of clinical UR and QA, Medicaid guidelines and covered services. Prior Member Services or UR Manager in a health-plan a plus. This position functions as an advocate within the non-emergency medical transportation system for patients and case-managers alike throughout the state of Virginia providing in-service training to facilities on how to use NET services effectively and to promote positive relationships.
