The Role: Manager of InstructionManager of Instruction is responsible for recruiting and training new instructors, staffing all classes and tutoring assignments, and leading a very motivated and high performing instructor team.Responsibilities:Hiring & Training : Recruit, hire & train charismatic, quality instructors Screen instructor candidates to determine appropriate fit for the position Oversee the training of instructors Provide curriculum support throughout the training process Stay abreast of developments in the area of education - specifically test preparation and college admissions Create new and effective methods to guarantee great exceptional instructors Staffing: Fulfill staffing requirements for classes and tutoring assignments throughout the given region Assess staffing needs of the region Staff on-site group courses Match private tutoring students with a tutor of “best fit” Communicate with sales managers to coordinate individual staffing needs Create new and effective methods to increase efficiency of staffing efforts Execution: Ensure the proper execution or courses within the regionFollow up with contacts regarding scheduling and implementation of programs Communicate with team members within your region to coordinate courses Create new and effective methods to improve efficiency in executing courses Development & Retention: Participate in the on-going training and development of instructorsProvide motivation and encouragement to instructors Conduct workshops to encourage on-going development of instructors Host instructor meetings to promote a team environment Work with fellow Managers of Instruction to create new and effective methods for the development of instructors and to improve the core functions of curriculum Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Effectively handle difficult situationsProvide instructor support when dealing with difficult situations Solve problems in an efficient and timely manner Communicate with the Client Relations Department to resolve customer service issues Create new and effective troubleshooting methods Qualifications:Required:Bachelors DegreeExperience tutoring or mentoring students Must be organized and detail orientedExceptional written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to solve problems quickly and creativelyThe ability to work both independently and on teamsPreferred:Experience in the field of educationManagement experience Salary and BenefitsGenerous compensation package including base salary ($40-60k) based on experience.
