Were all in our twenties, were all into counterculture, indie stuff (basement dweller has a huge TV in the living room), going out (were not always around but when we are were friendly), and occasionally hanging out. We are looking for someone (male or female) who is over the age of 23, not passive agressive or catty, clean in common areas, quiet at night (normal sleep schedule during the week - we have to wake up for work), and generally respectful. So yeah, its a great deal. The $480 doesnt include utilities, which come out to about $80 a month. The landlord stays out of our business. The house isnt that old and the neighbors are quiet and friendly. We might have like 2 parties here a year, but other than that, its a pretty laidback place and we want to keep it that way. I have a room available at the turn of the year in my upscale townhouse in Clarendon. This is not your typical shared house, where things are dirty, loud, run down, and generally college-like. We do like to have fun, and we are all friends and have a good time, but we also take care of the place because we all like to live in a nice house with nice things.The house is about 200 yards from Clarendon Ballroom, but also on the edge of a quiet neighborhood. We are 0.2 miles from the metro, literally 3 minutes by foot.The room features 26 inch flat panel TV/DVD player combo wall mounted in the bed area. Great for TV before bed or a DVD on a lazy Sunday morning. This DVD player can even play divx movies (the kind you may have downloaded from the web) without a hitch - I have a collection of several hundred you can use. There is also a much larger (51 inch) HDTV into the room. I just added a second large closet to the room, so it can hold a ton of hanging clothes.The bedroom includes a newly updated bathroom and a rainfall showerhead, and the water pressure is outstanding. The vanity is new with a black granite countertop and high end nickel fixtures. The common areas in the house feature an absurd 73 inch HDTV with DVR, recent carpet, a newly built wood back porch and generally nice furnishings.
