Bought this at the U.S. House of Representatives stationary room the beginning of the Clinton 1st administration and have not seen another since. It is in like new, perfect condition and I believe much, much nicer than other Limoges Democratic donkey trinket boxes you find on the web. It is real Limoges and signed on the bottom with a star inside the box bottom. The gold colored ring around the box has two crossed flags on the clasp. Colors are bright and vivid. Antique Philippine handmade hunting Quiver, darts and blowpipeThis unique, attractive and handmade piece of genuine native handicraft was used by the Batak people in the Palawan central highlands of the Philippines about 50 years ago to hunt small game. This is the genuine tribal article, in excellent condition and was not made for the tourist trade. I purchased it from a professional importercollector in Saipan in the mid-1980’s. The beautiful 16” tall quiver is constructed of a brown-stained bamboo pipe, topped with wild boar hair, bound with locally-made thin twine and has decorative markings and a wonderful carving of a wild pig. Included are 5 wooden darts and a 35” painted bamboo blowpipe. This is hard to beat conversation piece you will never see in the stores and one that you cannot resist trying at least once...just keep in mind this is NOT a toy for kids.
