1975 Van De Stadt fiberglass world cruiser for sale. Slutter rigged (sloop with removable inner forestay for cutter rig), extended fin keel with spade rudder. Exceptionally sturdy, she was built in South Africa at a respected shipyard to Van De Stadt plans. Equipped with a sturdy hard dodger, she has sailed most of the world's waters in safety and comfort. Her 12-foot beam provides a roomy inside with speed and a very comfortable motion. In 12 knots of wind, she will sail at a GPS confirmed 7.5 to 8 knots with ease. The V-berth is roomy and comfortable with many storage areas. Aft to starboard is a head with a manual Lavac toilet, a sink and even a small bath tub (not currently used). This is a 2000 mercury 20hp ml tiller.The motor on a scale of 1-10 is a 9. It at the most has about 25 hours on it. I am the second owner. The gentleman i bought it fron was an older guy who kept all his stuff in pristine condition as well as the maintenance. The water pump is new, the lower unit fluid is new and spark plugs. Will start for you. The motor is currently fogged with oil to prevent corrosion. Themotor can easily be made into a 25 hp my changing the caburetor. Original prop not a scratch on it.
